One of the most exciting attractions in the Seattle area is Meany Hall, located at the University of Washington. Meany Hall is a versatile venue in the Seattle, WA area that hosts a variety of different performances such as live concerts, theater, lecture series, and dance shows. With the 1200-seater Katharyn Alvord Ferlich Theater and the smaller 238-seater Meany Studio Theater, this venue has a wonderful and comfortable atmosphere for both the artist and the audience, suitable for many different performances.

The University of Washington has an incredible school of music and drama, and is home to the iconic Meany Hall where the students, as well as world class musicians and dancers, often perform. A concert hall and performance venue, Meany Hall reopened in Seattle in 1974, southeast to the location of the original building that was brought down by an earthquake in 1965. It is named after Edward Meany, a UW graduate of 1885, who was a major benefactor of the project as well as the head of history department at the time.
